Picture Phones A Headache For Teachers

Cheating by students using picture phones is one of the biggest concern among school administrators, according to Star Tribune. Apple Valley School is one of many Minnesota-area schools that ask students to keep cell phones in cars, lockers or backpacks -- anywhere but in class.

Other concerns such as privacy also come to the fore: At the school, a student used the latest pocket technology to photograph graffiti in a rest room. At Minnetonka High School, administrators are concerned with students secretly taking photos of other students.

"It's another headache for teachers who have students who are inattentive in class," said Mounds View Principal Julie Wikelius. "These [camera] phones certainly have the potential for disruptive behavior."
