Vodafone joins video fray

Challenging Hutchison's "3" monopoly of the video phone market, Vodafone has launched a new Vodafone live! handset which has video messaging capabilities.

The number three telco sees the capability as a "good bridge" to video telephony, which will be introduced with its own 3G service when it is launched in 2005.

The new Sharp GX20, which will retail for $1049, incorporates a flood flash - with a choice of flash light colours - to increase the quality of photos taken in low light conditions, reports News.com Australia.
