TIM will launch TV on mobile phones

Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) has launched a new service, enabling customers to watch TV on their multimedia GPRS handsets: mobile TV.

Initially the television partners joining TIM in this experimental phase are: La 7, MTV, CFN/CNBC and Coming Soon.

TIM will offer this service free of charge for the rest of this year. At the moment TIM has 26 million subscribers, according to Telecom Paper.
