First International Moblogging Conference Report

Justin Hall, on July 08, in TheFeature.com in an article entitled «Rehearsing the Future: First International Moblogging Conference Report», gives an account of the gathering of 200 Toolmakers, capitalists, researchers and media makers in Tokyo. An insightful article on the history of moblogging and where it's going with new technology, such as "location info" -- allowing anyone to post or browse location-specific data from anywhere, embedded information in the environment, and the new emerging moblogging tools for users and businesses.

But right now, its more of an "Ahah" moment with the thrill of picture phones generating enormous excitement with "mobile phone photo hosting sites popping up all over Europe". According to Alan Bradburne who developped Phlog.net and opened the conference: "Moblogging is about people sharing human experiences with one another. Whether the results resemble sophisticated weblog posts laden with hidden data or simple web galleries, moblogging will become mainstream, because people love a camera directly connected to the internet".
