Starbucks "no picture taking tolerance"

starbucks_nofoto.gif This is very entertaining. Apparently Starbucks has a rule which forbids picture taking of their employees. Online, people are claiming that they've been "threatened or thrown out of Starbucks coffee shops all over the planet because they took a few snaps". A policy which actually came to light on a blog run by Stanford University law professor Lawrence Lessig.

According to this wonderful article written by Margie Boulé for Oregon Live, predictably, as word spread and websites publishing "forbidden" photos started popping up, people started to take the ban as a challenge (call them Flash Mobs), rushing to local Starbucks coffee shops to snap pictures.

Okay, so not everyone is using a camera phone to snap these shots, see Starbucks Photos, a website which publishes photos sent by e-mail. But if anyone hears of a "Starbucks no tolerance" photoblog updated by camera phone, let me know! It's got to be out there somewhere! Other than Celebs at Starbucks mentioned last week.
