Kodak camera phones connect

The Democrata and Chronicle looks into Kodak's latest business deals and services, gaging that owners of camera phones will want do more than just zip photos to each other via their handsets. Just as printing services are an obvious expansion of their busines, "the company may also realize revenue from sales of next-generation color display screens that use pioneering Kodak technology, embedded imaging software applications and image sensors.

Wireless imaging is also a huge area of interest in Kodak's research labs. Scientists are working to develop software, for instance, that will enhance the appearance of images on wireless handsets or triage images to transmit only the most important.

At a company event last year, researchers also showed several other ideas. One of the wilder concepts: using wireless imaging to allow individuals to see and talk to each other through mirrors".
