New camera phones with novel features
Two things caught my eye in Patrick Houston's article for Asia C/Net, reviewing some new tech gadgets in Tokyo.
The Panasonic P2102V: «Two cameras for one cell phone»: "This cell phone comes with not one, but two cameras. One, located at the end of a hinge, you use to shoot digital stills. The other, located above the display, lets you conduct a business meeting via videoconference--from the palm of your hand".
Sony Ericsson SO505i: «A camera phone more like a camera, than a phone» :
"The SO505i is folded up, it looks, feels, and handles like a real camera--one that takes 1.3 megapixel pix. If you really need to use a camera for work, this may be an excellent all-in-one device for you."
And Mobile Burn reports on Siemens' first camera phone, the MC60: A fashion phone with xchangeable "CLIPit" covers with a dedicated camera key allowing to capture and send an image with only 2 clicks.
