French Mobile Operator Orange is launching a "Short Film Festival", open to amateurs, film school students and video buffs. Each film must be no longer than 5 minutes and is to be viewed on a new generation camera phone.
Any genre is acceptable - fiction, animation, documentary - and must be sent to the contest organizers no later than March 31st.
The jury, made up of film industry celebrities will select 5 finalists and next May, the winners will receive their awards live from the Cannes Film Festival. [via Netéconomie (in French)
