Malaysian police sets up crime reporting service by picture phones
The Malaysian police has launched an IT center at the Malacca police station to process information on crimes reported by the public using MMS camera phones, according to Cellular News
"SMS is especially useful if someone is caught in an inconvenient situation to make a call to alert the police, such as under the threat of intimidation or facing suspicious characters or drug addicts."
Previously, the Australian Government launched a similar service called Neighbourhood Watch program.
