4 Fun Casino Games To Give A Try

Whether you’ve ever been to a casino or are a regular visitor, there is almost always something new to try. Some casino games have been around for decades, while some are slightly more modern. There are also live and online casino games as well. No matter how you play or whether you are a new or inexperienced casino visitor, here are 4 great games to try on your next casino visit.

1. Keno

Keno is similar to playing a lottery, where you choose numbers and wait to see if they are drawn. Unlike most lotteries, however, you can generally choose up to 20 numbers. Some casino may limit you to 10,12 or 15 numbers. To play Keno, you choose numbers by marking off spots on a keno card, which generally offers numbers 1-80 and hand your ticket to one of the many keno attendants roaming the casino. Restaurants are generally the favored place to play keno since you don’t have to be at a game table or machine to play. Modern casinos often use a random number generator to “choose” numbers. The more of your chosen numbers the random number generator chooses, the bigger your payout.

2. Blackjack

The basic premise of blackjack is that a dealer deals you two cards and you can either stay or ask for more. The goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. The value of cards 2-10 is their face value. Face cards (King, Queen, Jack) are all worth 10 points and an Ace can be either a 1 or an 11, depending on what you need it to be. The dealer also gets two cards and will keep dealing with themselves to try and hit 21 as well. If you get closer to 21 than the dealer, you win, if the dealer gets closer, you lose. If you go over 21, you immediately lose. There are a number of options and variations that can make the game more complicated if you choose, but overall, Blackjack is a fairly simple game to play your first time out.

3. Roulette

Roulette is another fairly simple game that can have a number of variations that make it slightly more complicated. Overall Roulette (which means “little wheel” in French) is played at a table which contains a spinning wheel and numbered black or red squares. You bet by placing chips on the squares, choosing which number or color you think the roulette ball will actually land on. The game begins by an attendant known as a Croupier spinning the wheel and dropping a small white ball into it. The ball spins around the outer edge of the wheel until it loses momentum, then drops through a series of deflectors before falling into a pocket containing a number. The numbers alternate black and red. Needless to say, you have a 50/50 chance of winning when just choosing the color, so your winnings are not as high as if you choose the actual number the ball eventually lands on.

4. Craps

Because craps only require a pair of dice to play, it is a popular street game and is often played outside of a casino much like poker. Betting is somewhat similar to Roulette in that you are betting on the outcome of how dice will land, but it is also significantly more complicated as there are far more ways to bet. In that sense, craps are also more like poker because there are many ways to win or lose. Unlike poker, however, which is a winner-takes-all game, numerous people can win at craps. In a casino, you bet on craps similar to how you bet on Roulette, by placing chips on a certain area of the table. Unlike Roulette or Blackjack, where the game attendant either deals cards or rolls the Roulette wheel, the players themselves actually roll the dice. While the players themselves roll the dice, the game does have an attendant known as a “stickman.” Craps is a bit more complicated than many other casino table games and may take some time to understand. One simple bet you can make immediately, however, is a Pass/ Don’t Pass bet. This is similar to betting on red or black in roulette.
